It is highly recommended to install Wampserver at the root of a partition (C:\Wamp, D:\Wamp, etc) and do not use an installation folder name with spaces or diacritical characters. Right-click the install *.exe file and select "Run as Administrator" from the menu. You must install WAMPServer as an Administrator (This is an Absolutely must)

If the icon is not green, there is no point expecting everything to work as it means that one of both of the Apache/MySQL services has not started. The Wampmanager icon in the taskbar MUST be GREEN. Create a New discussion to describe your problem in a clear and detailed manner (With Versions of your System, Apache, PHP, MySQL, EXACT error message, etc.) Most of these checks can be done before installing WampServer.
